Note: The gel in the topical form of Tretinoin is used to treat skin-related conditions only. Tretinoin tablets are not used often and are used only under strict medical supervision, typically for the treatment of acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL), not skin.

  • Gradually removes dark spots
  • Boosts the production of collagen

Mechanism of Action (MOA) of A Ret Gel 0.05% (Tretinoin)

  • It is binding with retinoic acid receptors (RARs) in skin cells.
  • It is accelerating epidermal cell turnover by promoting new cell growth.
  • By reducing dead skin accumulation, clogging of the pores is being prevented.
  • It is acting as a barrier against microcomedone formation (early stage of acne).
  • There is an increase in collagen production which results in better skin texture and fewer fine lines.

A Ret Gel 0.05% (Tretinoin): Medication Form

  • The cream is used topically (0.025%, 0.05%, or 0.1% strength) or also it is available as a gel.

FAQs

1.Can I safely use makeup after applying A Ret Gel 0.05%?

Yes, however, allow 20-30 minutes for the gel to absorb and then apply non-comedogenic (non-pore-clogging) makeup products only.

2.Is A Ret Gel safe to use while being pregnant or breastfeeding?

No. Tretinoin is in general not advised at the time of pregnancy or breastfeeding because it poses potential risks to the fetus or infant. Please, always speak to your doctor.

3.Can I mix A Ret Gel with other acne treatments?

The answer is: it depends. Some products (e.g., benzoyl peroxide) might interact or cause irritation. Your dermatologist is always the right person to follow for combination treatments.

4.In what period of time does the purging occur when using A Ret Gel?

Purging usually remains at 2-6 weeks due to the rapid skin cell renewal process with the gel. If the problem continues to exist longer or even becomes worse, do not hesitate to contact a dermatologist.

5.Can A Ret Gel remove acne scars or dark spots?

It not only helps in fading post-acne marks and improving the skin texture, but it is also not sufficient to eliminate deep scars. Other treatments (e.g. microneedling, chemical peels) might be required.
